The Ministry of Health of the Canary Islands notified of 238 new cases of coronavirus yesterday taking the toe total to 28,809 with 7,211 active, of which 52 are admitted to the ICU and 318 remain hospitalized.
In the 24 last hours, another six people have lost their lives after testing positive for Covid-19 in the Archipelago, all of them suffering from previous pathologies.
The Canary Islands are once again officially on the list of high-risk places for Europe as determined by the ECDC, after being upgraded from Orange (medium risk) which only lasted for one week.

- the positivity rate of PCR detection tests is equal to or greater than 4%
- the 14-day accumulative incidence rate (IA14) is more than 150 per 100,000 people
The Accumulated Incidence (AI) at 7 days in the Canary Islands currently stands at 64.27 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, and the AI at 14 days is at 133.14 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
