A man, whose identity is currently unknown, was recorded last night (Tuesday) stopping his car in the middle of the northbound carriageway of the TF-1 motorway, just before the exit for Las Chafiras (Junction 62), then getting out and rolling around on the floor.
The bizarre incident was videoed by the passenger of a car following the Renault Kangoo and posted on social media, in which you can see the man have a brief lie down before rolling around, then sitting on the hard shoulder before doing some abdominal exercises.
Luckily other drivers saw the man stop and get out of his car, so came to a standstill with their warning lights on before he was run over or hurt.
They are claiming that he seemed to be in a “strange state”, and it can be seen that he appears to have a lack of coordination, perhaps in a state of intoxication or due to the use of narcotics; although It is not ruled out that it is a mental health problem.
Several vehicles stopped on the motorway, including a truck from the waste collection service, which shielded the area and put on its flashing lights while they reported the surprising incident to the emergency services.
However, what is not seen in the video is whether the man got back in his car and drove off, or if he was apprehended by police after calls to 112 for assistance. Either way, fortunately, no one was injured in the incident.
