VIDEO: Amazing timelapse video shows how the ‘hat of Teide’ moves

A lenticular cloud that forms above the Mt Teide volcano in Tenerife, has been captured by photographer Bartosz Wojczyński in an impressive timelapse video that was released yesterday (Monday) on Twitter by the Wonder of Science profile.

The cloud, which is known as “Teide’s hat”, is shaped and compared to a UFO by onlookers, has been shared by meteorologist JJ González Alemán, who explains how it formed and moves: “it is static because it is formed by the mountain itself and is modulated by the strong wind in that atmospheric layer”.

Take a look at the video for yourself and you decide if it is just a cloud or is it hiding something else!?! It is just a cloud, but it is amazing.
