The weather warnings continue for wind, rain and haze in the Canary Islands

All of the Canary Islands, except El Hierro, are on a yellow warning today for haze due to suspended dust, rain and strong winds, with 15mm of accumulated rainfall forecast in one hour in La Palma, by the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet).

In addition, Tenerife, Lanzarote, Fuerteventura and La Gomera have an alert in place for strong winds with gusts expected between 70 and 85km/h; while Gran Canaria, Lanzarote and Fuerteventura also have a yellow warning of risk due to haze.

In the west of the Canary Islands today, there will be cloudy intervals with some sunny spells, but the cloudiness will increase with showers in La Gomera and some parts of Tenerife, and heavy rains expected in La Palma.

In the eastern islands, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, there will cloudy intervals and haze that will limit visibility to 3,000 metres, with winds from the north or northeast.

Temperatures will be the same as the last few days in the Canary Islands today, with maximums of around 20-21°C.
