The new Adeje Auditorium is opening on March 17th

Adeje council has released details of the performances that will be taking place in the new Adeje Auditorium, with local, national, and international shows due to take to the stage. The mayor José Miguel Rodríguez Fraga said, “This new cultural infrastructure has generated a great deal of expectation in recent months, both as a local cultural space and for the shows that we have already booked”.

The council are preparing a series of guided tours of the building for people and groups interested in using the new auditorium, which is a unique building in terms of architecture and new technology, with a main 500-capacity auditorium, a 120-seat conference room, and all the usual facilities expected for this type of building, and has cost 8.1 million euros to complete.

Some of the headline productions planned for the next few months include Hamilton, Dumbo el Musical, Mayumaná, Cruz de Navajas, Peter el Musical, Tricicle, En Otra Clave, Pedro Guerra, Paz Padilla, the Tenerife Symphony Orchestra, and the Chinese National Acrobatic Circus.

The auditorium will be officially opened on March 17th, but tickets for a number of the shows are already on sale. March will be an ‘open door’ month and will include a number of free shows, with Los Sabandeños, and Sole Giménez, with tickets by invitation.

On March 23rd and 30th, En Otra Clave will fill the theatre. March 26th will see a Spanish version of Hamilton on stage.  Local talent will also be debuting in the new cultural space with performances from the students and staff of the Adeje School of Music performing on March 24th.

April will welcome a number of powerful productions including Dumbo el Musical, Cruz de Navajas (with the music of Mecano and much more), and Canarian singer Pedro Guerra in concert. May bookings include Mayumaná, humourist Paz Padilla, magician Mago Yunke (the current Magic World Champion!), and in June, Peter el Musical and Tadeo Jones will bring fun for all the family.

On Friday July 7th, the Tenerife Symphony Orchestra will perform, and on August 9th the incredible soprano voice of Ainhoa Arteta will grace the stage.

In October (dates to be confirmed), the Chinese National Acrobatic Circus will be in Adeje, and during this month the auditorium used by many local groups during the town’s annual patronal fiestas.
