The president of the Canary Islands, Ángel Víctor Torres, will open the Canary Islands stand at the World Travel Market in London this morning, which runs from today until Wednesday and is the most important event for tourism with the British market for the Archipelago.
Torres will be accompanied by the Minister of Tourism, Yaiza Castilla, and the rest of the team from his Department, as well as representatives from each island's Cabildo, the business sector and hotel groups.
The 43rd edition of the World Travel Market is being held from November 7th to 9th at the ExCel exhibition centre in London, with 5,000 exhibitors, 3,000 journalists, and an attendance of 50,000 people from the travel and tourism industry.
A large representation has travelled from the Canary Islands with more than 250 professionals belonging to 150 companies, 26 of which will have individualized space within the stand to hold meetings with tour operators, travel agencies, airlines, and representatives of British travel, still the most important tourist market for the islands.
The Canary Islands stand covers 770 square metres with a striking design that stands out for its 16 large aerial cubes giving a strong visual impact of the eight islands.
