A bus has been completely destroyed after catching fire on the main road in the south of Fuerteventura, but fortunately, no injuries have been reported.

The incident happened on the road between La Lajita and Costa Calma, just before Matas Blancas, where the vehicle became engulfed in flames.

According to the reports, all passengers and the driver were able to leave the bus safely before the fire spread through the vehicle.

Emergency services attended the scene, but the bus was completely gutted by the blaze, leaving only the charred shell behind.

At this stage, only material damage has been reported, and there is no indication that anyone was injured.

The cause of the fire has not yet been confirmed and is expected to be investigated.
