Much to the relief of residents in the south of Tenerife, the road that connects Callao Salvaje and Playa Paraiso through the banana plantations is due to re-open soon after being completely redone making it safer for drivers and pedestrians.
Gone has the dark narrow road that you were never sure who had right of way on, as you tried to avoid oncoming cars and pedestrians.
The road with no name has been closed for several months while it has been widened to allow two-way traffic, has had pavements put in on both sides, street lamps to make it safer at night, and has been completely resurfaced with new white lines, and signage indicating 30km/h speed limit.
As you can see, it is a vast improvement for everyone and will also help to alleviate traffic on the main roundabout into Playa Paraiso.
