The Canary Islands are expecting cloudy skies today (Sunday), strong gusts of wind of up to 70km/h, and widespread rain that is forecast to be stronger in all of the islands than Fuerteventura and Lanzarote, as the yellow weather warning is still in place which was activated by the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet).
The forecast shows force 3 or 4 south winds at sea that reached force 6 during last night, which will lead to large waves but dangerous conditions with a 2 metre swell.
