La Gomera continues with a yellow traffic light and alert level 2 measures remain in force until January 7th, in addition to those specific to the Christmas period for the Canary Islands until January 10th. The rest of the islands continue with a green traffic light.

According to the report of the General Directorate of Public Health, the island of Tenerife, with a cumulative incidence rate at 7 days of 94.02 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, continues in a condition of high level of transmission, which is why it is extended.

In the case of La Gomera, the report includes a cumulative incidence rate at 7 days of 41.85 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and the island is at level 1, but the specific measures that correspond to each level of action, remain in force for a 14-day period following the time of declaration.

The Ministry has reiterated its call to follow the recommendations of the General Directorate of Public Health of the SCS to hold social and family meetings with the greatest possible security and avoid the possibility of transmission of Covid-19, ideally eating outdoors or in well-ventilated areas in order to avoid closed spaces when with family or friends.

It is advisable to keep the meetings of this period with the same contact 'bubble' group so that the possibilities of transmission are limited, and that if one of the guests has symptoms that they do not attend the celebration. In this case, you have to isolate yourself and call the coronavirus service line 900 112 061.
