A British man has been seriously injured after being stabbed in the neck with a knife during a fight in the early hours of yesterday morning (Friday), in the Plaza de Italia in San Bartolomé de Tirajana in Gran Canaria, as reported by the Emergency Services Coordination Centre (CECOES).
CECOES received an alert at 6:03am requesting urgent medical assistance, so dispatched an ambulance and the Local and National Police to the scene of the incident.
The wounded man was treated on-site and stabilised before being transferred to the Hospital Universitario Insular de Gran Canaria in a serious condition for further treatment.
Police took witness statements from those at the scene of the fight, but up to now, no one has been apprehended.
