AEMET is forecasting a wet weekend in the Canary Islands

After the high temperatures experienced across the islands last weekend, the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) have announced that this weekend will be completely different with cooler temperatures and scattered rains starting tomorrow, and intensifying from Saturday.

In general, they will be more persistent in the more mountainous islands, and more intense in the southeast slopes of Tenerife, La Palma, and Gran Canaria during the afternoons. The days will start with some clouds in the morning but will cloud over from noon which will bring the rain.

Temperatures will be around 21 degrees during the day and 16 during the night, but some areas will be hotter depending on the wind which will be from a north-westerly direction.
