The Canary Islands have started the week with 104 new cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours, 45 of which are in Gran Canaria, 42 are in Tenerife, 5 are in Fuerteventura, 5 are in Lanzarote, 5 are in la Palma, 2 are in La Gomera, and none are in El Hierro.
The Ministry of Health have also reported of two Covid-related deaths in Tenerife of a woman, aged 87 years old, and a man, aged 74 years old, who suffered from previous pathologies and were already admitted to hospital.
Latest data shows that 98,012 people have now tested positive for Covid-19 in the Canary Islands, with 1,359 active cases as of today, with 118 in hospital wards, 20 in ICU, and 1,221 in home isolation.
Incidence rates for the islands continue to creep up with the IA7 for the islands now at 32.08 and the IA14 at 59.70, as highlighted by the graph below. However, it is notable that Fuerteventura now has an IA7 approaching 50 and an IA14 over 85.
