Covid update: Patients in hospitals with Covid have increased by 50% in two weeks

According to the latest data published by the Ministry of Health, the number of people admitted to hospital with Covid has increased by 41 (50%) compared to the data of Saturday October 23rd, 42 into wards and a decrease of 1 in ICU.

122 people are admitted to one of the hospitals in the Canary Islands with coronavirus, of which 19 are in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and 103 are in wards.

By islands, Tenerife is the one with the most Covid patients admitted with 78, which is an increase of 30 in the last two weeks (7 in ICU and 71 in wards, ahead of Gran Canaria, which has 38 which is an increase ofc11 in the last two weeks (9 in UCI and 29 in wards).

The other islands are a long way behind these two, with La Palma next with 4 Covid patients in wards (+4); Fuerteventura has 1 (-2); and Lanzarote has 1 also (-1). Finally, La Gomera and El Hierro are the only Canary Islands without any Covid patients in their hospitals, the same as 2 weeks ago.
