A 45-year-old woman was injured on Saturday afternoon following a collision between a car and an electric scooter on Avenida Faro de Pechiguera in Playa Blanca, Lanzarote. The accident occurred at around 5:00pm, according to the Emergency and Security Coordination Centre (CECOES).

A basic life support ambulance from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) was dispatched to the scene, where medical staff treated the woman, who had sustained moderate trauma injuries.

Although her condition was described as stable, she was later taken to Hospital Doctor José Molina Orosa for further evaluation and treatment.

Local Police attended the scene, taking charge of the accident report and managing traffic in the area while emergency teams worked.

The 1-1-2 control room received several calls alerting them to the collision, prompting the immediate activation of emergency resources to ensure swift assistance and safe transfer of the injured woman.

Authorities have not yet released details about the circumstances of the crash, but the incident serves as a reminder of the importance of caution and awareness when sharing the road between vehicles and personal mobility devices.
