VIDEO: An international fugitive is arrested in Lanzarote
The National Police have located and arrested an international fugitive in Lanzarote who is wanted by the authorities of his country for various crimes carrying a 10-year prison sentence.
The police arrested the 39-year-old man of Moroccan nationality, where he was staying temporarily on Avenida Fred Olsen in Arrecife, and handed him over to the Judicial Authority who ordered his entry into prison until his deportation papers are ready.
This is the seventh international fugitive located and detained in Lanzarote by the National Police this year as they clamp down on crime and drug mules on the island.
