Six people were taken to hospital after the car they were travelling in left the road on Thursday evening near La Asomada, in the municipality of Tías, Lanzarote. The accident happened on the road between Conil and Tegoyo, with emergency services receiving the alert at 9:55pm.

According to the Lanzarote Security and Emergency Consortium (EMERLAN), the vehicle left the carriageway but came to rest upright on all four wheels.

Occupants escaped before emergency crews arrived

When firefighters and other emergency services reached the scene, all six occupants had already managed to get out of the vehicle on their own.

Initial assessments indicated that they had suffered injuries but were in an apparently stable condition.

All six were taken to Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital in Arrecife for medical assessment and treatment.

Emergency response

The incident prompted the deployment of both basic and advanced life support ambulances, alongside firefighters and police.

Firefighters disconnected the vehicle's battery, secured the accident scene and provided lighting while emergency personnel worked.

Police officers carried out the official investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash. The cause of the accident has not yet been disclosed, but no other vehicles were involved.
