Emergency services were called to an industrial warehouse in Arrecife, Lanzarote, early this morning (Friday) after a man was found dead on the premises.
The incident occurred shortly before 8:30am at a frozen food company located near Rambla Medular, close to the National Police headquarters in the island’s capital.
Authorities have yet to determine whether the death was the result of a workplace accident or natural causes. Initial reports suggest the man may have suffered a heart attack, but forensic experts remain on the scene to conduct a full investigation and confirm the circumstances.
A rapid emergency response was launched, involving the National Police, Local Police, and medical personnel from the Canary Islands Emergency Service, including both a basic life support unit and a medicalised ambulance.
In addition to securing the warehouse, police also cordoned off several nearby makeshift shelters as a precautionary measure, though no immediate threat to the public has been reported.
Investigations are ongoing, and officials have yet to release the identity of the deceased. Further updates are expected as forensic examinations continue.
