A flight heading to Tenerife was forced to divert to Lanzarote last night, Thursday, after several passengers reportedly caused “disturbances” on board.
Vueling flight VY3276 travelling from Málaga to Tenerife North, requested an emergency diversion to Lanzarote Airport after six passengers became disruptive during the flight.
According to air navigation authority ENAIRE, the pilot asked for police to be present on the runway upon landing due to the behaviour of the individuals involved.
The aircraft landed safely in Lanzarote without further incident, and airport authorities coordinated with police to meet the plane on arrival.
No injuries or additional problems were reported during the diversion.
Authorities have not yet released further details about the passengers or the nature of the disturbance. More information is expected as the situation develops.
