Firefighters, from the Lanzarote Consortium for Security and Emergencies, responded to an alert yesterday morning (Wednesday), informing them that someone was trapped in a lift at the San Bartolomé Health Centre.
The incident occurred at approximately midday, which is when they received an urgent call, and upon arrival at the medical facility the firefighters quickly located the trapped person in a lift on the upper floor.
Utilising a master key, firemen were able to open the lift doors and free the trapped person safely. The fast response by the emergency services was crucial in resolving the situation without further complications.
Shortly after the rescue, an elevator technician arrived at the scene and firefighters provided him with a detailed account of the incident, enabling him to inspect the elevator thoroughly. Following the technician’s assessment, normal operations were resumed at the San Bartolomé Health Centre.
