A 30-year-old man has been left in serious condition after a dramatic rollover accident in Playa Blanca, located in Yaiza, Lanzarote. The incident occurred at just after midnight on the LZ-2 road, heading towards Arrecife.
According to official reports from the Canary Islands Emergency Services Coordination Centre (112), the man was thrown from the car during the crash.
Emergency responders from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) arrived at the scene and determined that the man had sustained a severe hip injury. He was immediately transported in critical condition by ambulance to Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital for urgent medical care.
In addition to the SUC, personnel from Lanzarote's Consortium for Security, Emergencies, Rescue, and Firefighting also responded, securing the area and assisting the medical team.
Local Police and Guardia Civil officers were present to manage the scene and initiate the investigation into the accident. The cause of the rollover is currently under investigation by the police.
