65-year-old man rescued from drowning at a beach in Lanzarote

A 65-year-old man was rescued from the waters of Playa Dorada in Playa Blanca, Lanzarote, yesterday (Wednesday) after showing signs of drowning, according to reports from the Emergency Services Coordination Centre (CECOES).
CECOES received an alert at around midday yesterday requesting urgent assistance for the man who had been rescued from the water and receiving initial medical assistance from a doctor who happened to be nearby.
When paramedics arrived at the beach, the took over and stabilised him so that he could be taken to Hospital Molina Orosa for further treatment.
Local police are managing the investigation into the incident.
