A 27-year-old woman was rescued after suffering a fall on rocks at the Los Charcones natural pools in Playa Blanca, in the south of Lanzarote, yesterday afternoon (Monday) which initially left her unconscious.
The Emergency Services Coordination Centre received an alert at around 5:00pm informing them that a young woman had fallen in a rocky area that was difficult to access and was apparently unconscious.
They immediately dispatched the relevant emergency resources to the location given, and upon their arrival, they found the woman had regained consciousness but was visibly shaken.
After an initial assessment by medical personnel, the decision was made to take her to the hospital for further medical evaluation. Local police officers from Yaiza were also present, assisting in the rescue operation.
This incident highlights the need for caution in natural areas like Los Charcones, where accidents can occur unexpectedly.
