UPDATE: Vaccinations pass 300,000 but when will it be your turn?

When will it be my turn to get vaccinated? Can I choose which vaccine I have? When will I be contacted? Where do I have to go? These are some of the questions that have been asked in the last three months since the vaccinations began, several of which have not yet been answered.

According to the latest update by the Ministry of Health, over 300,000 inoculations have been carried out and over 105,000 people have had both doses in the Canary Islands, which is 7.81% of the target population, with over 11,000 being administered yesterday.

Of the total doses used from the three laboratories approved by the European Medicines Agency to vaccinate in Europe, 217,375 were from Pfizer, 21,422 from Moderna and 62,394 from Astrazéneca.

Once the immunization of groups 1 and 2 with the two doses is completed, the vaccination schedule continues with the rest of the target population. At this point, it should be noted that group 4, that of large household dependents, is 73.3% immunized with two doses; an advance that is also notable in group 5, those over 80 years of age 86.3% have received one dose and 25% have had two. Group 3 is already 99.96% with one dose and 24.18% with two doses; and group 6, 26.3% with one dose.

The vaccination calendar will continue to advance every day of the week including weekends and Easter holidays with the aim of vaccinating as many people as possible.
