Janssen single dose vaccine is approved for people under the age of 60

The Public Health Commission, which includes the Ministry of Health and representatives of the autonomous communities as its members, has authorized the Janssen single dose vaccine for  people under the age 60 years old.

The Janssen vaccine has been administered to the age group of 70 to 79 years old, which is nearly complete, and also to speed up and finish vaccination of the over 60's.

However, the draft that has been approved today shows that after people aged 60 and over, this vaccine will continue to be used to  inoculate those in the 50 to 59 age group.

in addition to this it will be administered to those over 18 who belong to a vulnerable group, whether they are patients who are difficult to vaccinate or aid workers who travel on mission to high-risk countries, or people who, because of their activity, will not be in Spain when they would be due to receive their second dose.
