The Ministry of Health of the Canary Islands has reported of 214 new cases of coronavirus today, taking the total number of accumulated cases to 49,987 with 4,403 still active of which 82 are admitted to ICU, 310 remain hospitalized in wards, and 256 have been medically discharged. They have also reported of five verified Covid related deaths, two in Gran Canaria, two in Fuerteventura and one in Tenerife, taking the total number of deaths to 703.
By islands, Tenerife has added 113 cases today and has 2,361 still active; Gran Canaria adds 67 cases and has 1,715 actives; Lanzarote adds 12 new cases with 119 active; Fuerteventura has 12 more cases and 180 actives. La Palma does not add any new cases today, but El Hierro has added 9, and La Gomera 1.
The Accumulated Incidence at 7 days in the Canary Islands stands at 70.59 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 14 days at 131.67 cases per 100,000 inhabitants. To date, a total of 1,004,521 PCR tests have been carried out in the Islands, of which 2,935 correspond to the last 24 hours.
