Covid update: 101 new cases today as data heads to levels before the 5th wave

The Ministry of Health has reported of 101 new cases of Covid today, as figures continue to drop and are in line with those at the beginning of the year and before the fifth wave. There were also three more deaths today, 2 in Tenerife and 1 in Fuerteventura.

Active cases have reduced dramatically to below 12,000 as there were four times the amount of people discharged having recovered from the virus, as those that tested positive.

Of the new cases, the most were recorded in Gran Canaria where there were 49 new positives, 44 are in Tenerife, 4 in Fuerteventura, 3 in Lanzarote, and 1 in La Palma. There were no new cases today in La Gomera or El Hierro.
