The latest data from the Ministry of Health shows that the pandemic continues to subside in the Canary Islands as there have been 117 new infections and no deaths In the last 24 hours. Of the new diagnoses, 65 are in Tenerife, 39 in Gran Canaria, 6 in El Hierro, 5 in Lanzarote, 2 in Fuerteventura and none in La Palma and La Gomera.
As always over the weekend there were less medical discharges than during the week (60), so active cases increased slightly to 3,553 of which 329 are hospitalised; 257 in wards and 72 in ICU, and 3,224 are in home isolation.
The cumulative incidence rates are continuing their downward trend for the islands, with the IA7 at 43.8 today and the IA14 at 110.6 per 100,000 inhabitants. To date, a total of 1,056,655 PCR tests have been carried out on the islands, of which 2,434 correspond to the last 24 hours.
