The location of Vladimir Putin's rumoured girlfriend, ex-Olympic Pole Vault champion, and Major of the Russian army, Yelena Isinbayeva, has been unknown for over a year, but now, according to El Digital Sur, it can be revealed because she is right here in Tenerife.
There has been much speculation as to where she has been living, or hiding, some suggesting she is in one of the countries where her two children were born, others say she has been spotted in Monaco. But the reality is EL DIGITAL SUR has been able to confirm that she is in Tenerife, information that nobody knew until now.
Allegedly she is leading a very discreet life, living in a luxurious complex on the island, and cannot be said whether she is still directly linked to her military position or not, since in the latest statements by the IOC spokesman, Mark Adams, they not confirm this, but neither do they deny it.
Despite the accusations and her connection to the Russian military, Yelena Isinbayeva still represents Russia on the International Olympic Committee. For the past two years, Yelena Isinbayeva's whereabouts have been unknown to the general public, except for her superiors and relatives.
According to sources who prefer to remain anonymous, they told EL DIGITAL SUR that "her superiors in the army granted her an indefinite leave for her merits in the bloody aggression against Ukraine."
Her being in Tenerife raises questions about possible additional reasons for her stay in a country whose government strongly supports the cause of Ukraine in its just fight against the Russian invasion. Just recently, the Prime Minister of Spain, Pedro Sánchez, promised before the European Community to "continue defending Ukraine" upon assuming the Spanish Presidency of the Council of the EU.

After the Russian invasion of Ukraine, many Russians left their country, some cutting off all contact with Vladimir Putin and supporting democratic values, while others chose to go into hiding and carry out subversive and hostile activities against Ukraine.
On February 27th the Currenttime.tv newspaper published that the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, imposed sanctions against 164 natural persons and 85 legal persons of the Russian Federation for "supporting a large-scale Russian invasion of the country", approving the corresponding decision of the National Security and Defence Council (NSDC). One of these is Major Yelena Isinbayeva.
Zelenski signed three decrees to implement the decisions of the National Security and Defence Council.
