As thousands prepare to enjoy the upcoming 5-day December bank holiday weekend, all eyes are on the weather forecasts, which show that the Canary Islands will have pretty stable weather until the end of the week, albeit with scattered showers in some areas.
TUESDAY:
Generally, clear skies are expected In the Canary Islands, with some high clouds and intervals of low clouds this afternoon in the westernmost islands. There is a low probability of light and occasional rain in the north and west of La Palma during the second half of the day.
Minimum temperatures will increase slightly, and maximum temperatures will show few changes. Light variable winds, slightly stronger and from the north in high-altitude areas in the late hours. In the central peaks of Tenerife, the wind will be moderate from the west.
WEDNESDAY:
Tomorrow will stay clear with intervals of high clouds, possibly becoming cloudy in the southern and western slopes of the more mountainous from midday. Occasional cloudy intervals may also occur in Lanzarote and Fuerteventura.
There is a low probability of light and occasional rain in the late afternoon in the interior of the western islands, particularly Tenerife. Temperatures will rise slightly with light northeasterly winds.
THURSDAY:
Again, generally clear skies with intervals of high clouds gradually diminishing, and some cloudy intervals in the interior of the more mountainous islands during the second half of the day. Temperatures will show few changes. Light northeast winds, slightly increasing during the afternoon.
WEATHER FROM FRIDAY ONWARDS:
Little change is forecast in the Canary Islands heading into the weekend, with generally clear skies, some cloudy intervals, and light winds. Some light rain at altitude, but temperatures are expected to stay as they are now in the low to mid 20s.
