Twelve hotels in the Canary Islands have been selected as part of TUI Group's prestigious list of the top 100 hotels for 2025. This highlights the excellence of accommodations across eleven countries and thirty-three destinations worldwide, with Spain and Greece dominating the list, collectively comprising 50% of the total.
The ranking features an array of hotels across the Canary Islands: Aqua Suites, Hotel Fariones, and Hotel Lava Beach in Lanzarote; Bahiazul Resorts Fuerteventura; and in Gran Canaria, Hotel Nayra-Adults Only, Club Lookéa Maspalomas, Club Maspalomas Suites & Spa, Idyll Suites, Riu Gran Canaria, and Riu Palace Maspalomas, and the Ambassador Apartments and Hotel Tigaiga, both located in the municipality of Puerto de La Cruz in Tenerife.
This announcement yesterday just ahead of the TUI Global Hotel Awards 2025 ceremony, set to take place tonight, Monday 3rd March, in Berlin, where the hotels in the top 100 will be celebrated.
The selection reflects evaluations from the German tour operator, the biggest in the world, showcasing a diverse range of accommodations from intimate family-run hotels and boutique stays to large resorts, wellness centres, ski lodges, and urban hotels.
Many of the hotels featured have maintained their standings over the years, while newcomers are recognised for their outstanding service and quality.
In Spain, the top 100 includes not only the mentioned Canary Islands destinations but also hotels in the Balearic Islands, such as Mallorca and Menorca, as well as cities on the mainland including Seville, Málaga, Alicante, Barcelona, and Jerez de la Frontera.
In Mallorca, the list includes Grupotel Molins, Grupotel Parc Natural & Spa, Hipotels Playa de Palma Palace, Hoposa Illa D’or, Hotel Bonsol Resort & Spa, Hotel Son Matias Beach, and Son Moll Sentits Hotel & Spa. Meanwhile, Menorca features the Seth 55 Santo Tomàs.
The inclusion of these hotels shows the thriving hospitality sector in the Canary Islands and reaffirms the region's status as a premier tourist destination.
