The Jacksons have arrived in Fuerteventura ahead of their only concert in the Canary Islands this year. The legendary American group will perform tonight (Wednesday) at the La Carpa festival on Sotavento Beach in Jandía.

Marlon and Jackie Jackson are leading a touring party of more than 20 people. They said they were excited to visit Fuerteventura for the first time and promised a show featuring the band’s greatest hits.

The audience can expect classics including “I Want You Back” and “I’ll Be There”. Marlon Jackson said the set would feature the songs that fans helped make number one.

Tonight’s performance will be the group’s first in the province of Las Palmas and only their second in the Canary Islands. Their previous appearance in the archipelago was in Tenerife in 2018.

The concert is part of the second annual La Carpa festival, which runs for 17 consecutive nights from 16th July to 1st August. Its venue has a capacity of 4,500 people and hosts international acts, electronic music, Latin performers, and leading DJs.

The festival coincides with the 38th Windsurfing and Wingfoil World Championship, bringing additional visitors to the Jandía area during one of Fuerteventura’s busiest summer events.
