Ten people were injured after a city bus crashed on a busy urban road in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, leading to an urgent emergency response and causing traffic disruption in the surrounding area.

The accident involved a municipal bus operated by Guaguas Municipales and occurred on Calle Munguía, a regular traffic route within the city. The impact left multiple passengers injured, triggering a fast response from ambulance crews and police.

Four people were taken to hospital for further medical checks, while six others were treated on the roadside for minor injuries.

The crash caused temporary tailbacks in the area as emergency teams worked to assist the injured and secure the area. Officers from the Local Police of Las Palmas traffic unit were sent to manage congestion and investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.

Authorities have confirmed that enquiries are ongoing to establish how the crash occurred. No further details have been released at this stage.
