Storm Oscar hits the south of Tenerife with flights cancelled and delayed

Storm Oscar has hit the western Canary Islands this morning (Wednesday) with force causing flight delays and cancellations in Tenerife, La Gomera, and La Palma.

The entire western province has an active orange weather warning for heavy rain and thunderstorms, and an active yellow weather warning for strong winds.

Canarian airline, Binter, has reported on social media that "delays and flight cancellations are taking place that mainly affect Tenerife, La Gomera and La Palma" due to the adverse weather conditions.

Currently, several flights have been cancelled and more have been delayed due to heavy rain, strong winds, and low visibility, and they are advising anyone who had a domestic flight scheduled for this afternoon (Wednesday) to check the status of it through this link: https://www.bintercanarias.com/es/estado-vuelos
