Radisson Hotel Group has officially opened its first hotel in Tenerife with the launch of the Radisson Resort & Residences, a high-end complex located in Puerto de la Cruz. The opening follows a €24.5 million investment to completely renovate the former Parque San Antonio hotel, originally built in 1968.
The new resort has been operational since 29th December and forms part of the wider strategy to modernise the municipality’s hotel stock, reinforcing its position as the leading tourism destination in the north of Tenerife.
The property is owned by Tenerife Assets Company SL, while operational management is carried out under a Radisson franchise agreement.
Strengthening the brand’s presence in the Canary Islands
With this launch, Radisson expands its footprint in the archipelago, where it already operates hotels in Gran Canaria and Lanzarote. The Tenerife resort is designed for premium travellers and long-stay guests, aligning with the growing demand for higher-value tourism experiences.
Management of the hotel is led by Canarian Hospitality, a specialist operator working in partnership with Radisson. The project has been backed by a group of Canarian investors committed to quality and differentiation.
A hybrid hotel–residence concept
Radisson Resort & Residences Tenerife blends traditional hotel accommodation with branded residences, a model increasingly popular in high-end holiday destinations. The complex consists of seven buildings containing 209 rooms and 32 one- and two-bedroom residences.
The concept aims to offer luxury hotel services with the independence of a private home, catering to evolving expectations among international travellers. Guests can choose from various board options and enjoy a wide range of amenities.

Premium services and an elevated guest experience
Facilities include wellness areas, a gym, massage services, and room service. The resort also offers its premium Crown Service programme, providing private zones, personalised attention, and exclusive services for high-end clients.
The culinary offering focuses on local Canarian produce, with two restaurants on site, while the interior design draws inspiration from the natural volcanic landscape of northern Tenerife, combining noble materials with a contemporary aesthetic aligned with Radisson’s brand identity.
Boosting Puerto de la Cruz’s repositioning strategy
The complex also includes event and meeting spaces, enhancing its appeal to corporate and social segments. The arrival of Radisson is seen as a major boost for Puerto de la Cruz as it continues to reposition itself within the premium tourism market.
Canarian Hospitality, founded in 2021 and backed by Grupo Acosta Matos, promotes a model driven by innovation, transformation and sustainability. The opening of Radisson Resort & Residences Tenerife contributes to broader efforts to attract investment and elevate the destination’s international profile.
