The Canary Islands are forecast to see light rain today, Thursday, with some moderate showers possible during the early hours and again this afternoon.

According to the latest forecast from AEMET, rainfall will mostly affect the northern areas of the islands, whereas southern areas should be drier with some clouds and sunny spells.

At sea, winds from the north or northwest will reach force 2 to 4, occasionally 5 along the east and west coasts, with slight to moderate seas and a north-westerly swell of 2 to 3 metres.

LANZAROTE
Cloudy skies with generally light rain, becoming less likely later in the day as some sunny spells may appear. Minimum temperatures will rise slightly, with little change in the maximum. Light to moderate north-westerly winds.
Temperatures: Low of 14°C and high of 22°C.

FUERTEVENTURA
Mostly cloudy with light showers, less frequent in the afternoon when some brighter intervals are expected. Slight rise in minimum temperatures and stable maximums. Light to moderate north-westerly winds.
Temperatures: Low of 14°C and high of 21°C.

GRAN CANARIA
Cloudy in the north with light rain, locally moderate at times. Elsewhere, mostly clear with occasional cloudy intervals. Temperatures will rise slightly. Light to moderate north-westerly winds.
Temperatures: Low of 17°C and high of 22°C.

TENERIFE
Cloudy in the north with light rain, possibly moderate in some areas. The south will be mostly clear, with some cloud in mid-altitude zones. Slight rise in temperatures. Light to moderate north-westerly winds, with breezes prevailing in the southeast.
Temperatures: Low of 17°C and high of 22°C.
