The weather forecast for today (Friday) from AEMET shows that it will be mostly cloudy in Tenerife and the western islands with occasional showers, focussed mainly in the north and south of the islands, accompanied by a drop in temperatures that will be more drastic over the weekend.
Maximum temperatures will register a slight decrease on the coasts, with a bigger drop inland and at altitude. Thermometers will range between a high of 25°C in San Sebastián de La Gomera and a minimum of 17°C in Santa Cruz de La Palma.
The wind will blow lightly from the north but will be more intense in the east and west extremes. In the central peaks of Tenerife, there will also be very strong gusts.
In Gran Canaria today, the day will start with light clouds but will get cloudier this afternoon especially inland and to the north of the island. Showers are forecast inland and along the south coasts in the first half of the day, and in the north after sunset.
As for Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, there will also be cloudy start getting more intense after lunch with some light showers.
Maximum temperatures will drop significantly at summits with just a slight decrease elsewhere, with temperatures ranging from a high of 23°C in Las Palmas to a low of 19°C.
