A lucky player in the Canary Islands has picked up the second prize in Spain’s La Primitiva lottery, while the jackpot has climbed to a historic level after no one claimed the top categories in Saturday’s draw (28th February).

The winning combination for last night’s draw was 04, 05, 06, 12, 24 and 47, with 1 as the complementary number and 4 as the refund (Reintegro). The Joker number was 1607263. The total amount wagered reached €14.34 million.

Record Jackpot of €116.5 Million

There were no winners of the Special Category (six numbers plus Reintegro) or the First Category (six numbers). As a result, the prize fund rolls over, pushing the jackpot to an astonishing €116.5 million for the next draw, the largest in La Primitiva’s history.

A single winner matching all required numbers in the next draw could walk away with the full amount.

Second Prize Hits the Canary Islands

Six tickets won the Second Category (five numbers plus the complementary number). One of these was validated in Gran Canaria, at ticket outlet No. 43.445, located on Avenida Escaleritas in Las Palmas.

The remaining winning tickets were sold in Málaga, Zaragoza, Benacazón (Seville), Valls (Tarragona), and through the official online channel of Spain’s state lottery operator Loterías y Apuestas del Estado.
