Covid update: No deaths today and hospital admissions drop by 15%

The latest data from the Ministry of Health highlights two positives today, firstly there have been no deaths recorded in the last 24 hours for the first time this year, in fact for the first time since November 30th last year, active cases in hospital have dropped from 438 to 376 in wards (-62) and from 55 to 53 in ICU since yesterday.

The number of new daily cases has increased to 1,209 today, showing that the virus is still virulent among society, and incidence rates have stayed all but the same for the last few days, while active cases have risen to 16,860.
