The Ministry of Health have informed of 2,561 new cases on Saturday and 1,394 today as numbers are continuing to show a downward trend in the Canary Islands. However, the bad news is that 24 people have died from the virus (10 on Saturday and 14 today) taking the death toll to 1,335 since the pandemic began.
Due to the decrease in cases, incidence rates are still dropping, with the IA7 for islands now below 1,000 as it is also is for Tenerife, Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, and La Gomera.
The only concerning stat, regarding a drop in Level, is the continued increase of people being admitted to hospital due to Covid. There are now 599 people in conventional beds and 86 in ICU as the pressure continues on hospitals and health workers.
