The Ministry of Health has communicated 2,007 new cases of coronavirus in the Canary Islands today, with a record-breaking 100,024 people still active with the virus either in hospital, ICU, or home isolation. In the last 24 hours, the death of 4 people from Covid has been verified in the Canary Islands, taking the death toll to 1,372 since the pandemic began.
There are 2,007 new cases today, which has again seen incidence rates drop sharply, of which 968 are in Gran Canaria and 645 are in Tenerife. Lanzarote registers 90 new positives, while Fuerteventura has 127 new cases. La Palma also adds 127 positives, La Gomera registers 10 new cases, and El Hierro has 40 today.
