Cloudy skies with intermittent clouds and occasional showers are expected to dominate the weather in hilly areas and in the north of the islands today (Friday), whereas the southern regions will be clearer and warmer, according to the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET).
At sea, there will be a northeast wind of force 4 to 5 and rough seas, with a northwest swell of between 1 to 2 metres.

GRAN CANARIA:
Intermittent clouds on the north side of the island, becoming denser in inland areas. In other areas, it will be partly cloudy with increasing cloud cover in the afternoon. Occasional light rain is expected in the north and inland areas, with lower probabilities in other regions.
Temperatures will remain relatively stable. Winds will be light to moderate from the northeast, occasionally stronger in the southeast and northwest, as well as on the western tip. Gentle breezes on the southwest coast.
Expected minimum and maximum temperatures: 22°C and 26°C.
LANZAROTE:
Partly cloudy with a chance of occasional light rain. Temperatures will remain relatively stable. Winds will be light to moderate from the northeast, shifting to the north during the second half of the day.

FUERTEVENTURA:
Cloudy intervals with some occasional showers. Temperatures will remain relatively stable. Light to moderate winds from the northeast, shifting to the north this afternoon.
Expected minimum and maximum temperatures: 21°C and 26°C.
TENERIFE:
Cloudy over the central peaks of the island, and clearer in other areas and on coasts, but there will be more cloudy intervals in inland areas during the afternoon. Some light rain is expected, potentially becoming stronger in the south in the afternoon.
Temperatures will remain relatively stable. Winds will be light to moderate from the northeast, occasionally stronger in the east and far northwest. Light variable winds inland, shifting to the west during the second half of the day. Breezes on the west and north coasts.
