The Canary Islands are bracing for a rainy start to the week, with AEMET forecasting heavy showers on the more mountainous islands, moderate rainfall in Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, and a chance of storms and small hail around Tenerife and the western islands.
Snow is also expected on the summit of Teide, with a snow line between 2,200 and 2,400 metres.
Temperatures are expected to remain stable, with a low probability of light frosts in Las Cañadas del Teide. Winds will be light, predominantly from the north.
The sea will be mostly slight to moderate, with a northern swell causing waves of 1 to 2 metres, increasing to 2 to 3 metres, along with occasional showers and storms.

LANZAROTE:
The day will begin with partly cloudy skies, becoming cloudier in the afternoon with a high chance of light to moderate rain. There is a low likelihood of haze, which should clear by the afternoon. Temperatures will remain steady or rise slightly, with a light northerly breeze.
Expected temperatures: Min 14°C, max 22°C.
FUERTEVENTURA:
Similar to Lanzarote, Fuerteventura will see a mix of clouds in the morning, turning overcast in the afternoon with possible light to moderate rain. The chance of haze is low, dissipating as the day progresses. Temperatures will remain unchanged or rise slightly, with light northerly winds.
Expected temperatures: Min 15°C, max 21°C.
GRAN CANARIA:
The island will experience mostly cloudy to overcast skies with moderate rainfall and possible heavy showers, particularly in interior areas. Temperatures will hold steady or drop slightly. Winds will be light from the north.
Expected temperatures: Min 14°C, max 19°C.
TENERIFE:
Tenerife is set for a cloudy day with moderate rain and potential heavy showers from the early morning, primarily in inland areas. There is a low probability of storms and small hail, with snow expected at altitudes between 2,200 and 2,400 metres. Temperatures will remain stable or decrease slightly, with a slight chance of light frosts in Las Cañadas del Teide. Winds will be light and predominantly from the north.
