The latest data from the Ministry of Health shows that 113 new cases have been detected today, of which 73 (64%) are in Tenerife, 18 are in Gran Canaria, 16 in Lanzarote, 5 in Fuerteventura, 1 in La Palma, and none in La Gomera or El Hierro.
They also confirmed that no Covid related deaths have been reported in the last 24 hours and just 44 medical discharges, meaning that active cases and incidence rates have remained stable, but haven’t dropped.
The SCS have informed that 60% of 60 to 65-year-olds have now had their first vaccination, as have 21.33% of over 50’s. They have also announced that the database for scheduling 40-49-year-olds for their appointments has been done, and that mass vaccination of this age group will begin in June alongside the second jab of other groups.
