The latest data from the Ministry of Health reports of 135 new cases of coronavirus in the Canary Islands today, and no Covid related deaths.
Of the new cases, Tenerife has the most yet again with 93, confirming the Governments reasons to be concerned about the epidemiological situation of the pandemic on the island, whereas the other six islands shared 31% of todays new cases with 25 in Gran Canaria, 9 in Lanzarote, 4 in Fuerteventura, 4 in La Gomera, and none in La Palma or El Hierro.
Todays data highlights the Ministry of Healths claim that the downward trend has stopped in the islands, and is going up, particularly in Tenerife.
Ultimately the vaccination program alone isn't the only solution to the situation, we must all individually take more responsibility if we want tourism back as quickly as possible.
