Covid update: 94 new cases and one death in Gran Canaria

The Ministry of Health of the Canary Islands have registered 94 new cases of Covid-19 this Saturday. The total number of accumulated cases in the Islands is now 56,940 with 1,662 active, of which 30 are admitted to ICU and 189 hospitalized.

In the last 24 hours, the death of a 58-year-old woman in Gran Canaria has been reported, who had previous pathologies and was already admitted to hospital.

The Accumulated Incidence rate at 7 days in the Canary Islands stands at 33.09 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, and at 14 days is 66.96 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.

By islands, Tenerife today adds the most again with 46 new cases, followed by Lanzarote with 19, Gran Canaria with 17, Fuerteventura has 9 new cases, La Palma has 2, La Gomera 1, and El Hierro has none.

Up until this Saturday, a total of 1,149,442 PCR tests have been carried out in the Islands, of which 2,003 correspond to yesterday.
