Calmer weather ahead as the Canaries enjoy a mostly dry Saturday
The Canary Islands are set for a calm and largely dry Saturday, with a mix of cloud and sunny spells across the archipelago, according to Spain’s national weather service (Aemet). While a few light and isolated showers can’t be ruled out, no significant rainfall is expected, and temperatures will remain steady.
Tenerife and the western islands will see highs of around 26°C, while Gran Canaria and the eastern islands are forecast to reach 25°C, with mild overnight lows of 18°C and 19°C respectively.
Light winds will dominate, mainly from the west, with gentle coastal breezes expected throughout the islands. At sea, west winds of force 2 to 4 are forecast, bringing slight seas with occasional moderate swell and north-westerly waves of 2 to 4 metres.

LANZAROTE
Partly cloudy at dawn, becoming mostly clear with some high cloud. Slight drop in minimum temperatures; highs remain steady. Light south-westerly to westerly winds and coastal breezes.
Expected temperatures: 17°C minimum / 24°C maximum.
FUERTEVENTURA
Generally clear with intervals of high cloud, and some extra cloud in the east during the afternoon. Minor drops in overnight temperatures, mainly in the north and west. Light south-westerly to westerly winds and coastal breezes.
Expected temperatures: 18°C minimum / 24°C maximum.
GRAN CANARIA
Mostly clear with some high cloud, alongside pockets of low cloud in the west early on and later inland and in the east. Minimum temperatures stable; slight rise in maximum temperatures inland. Light winds, with coastal breezes and westerly winds on the hills and peaks.
Expected temperatures: 19°C minimum / 25°C maximum.
TENERIFE
Intervals of cloud, particularly over western areas early in the day and inland during midday hours, where a few brief, isolated showers may occur. Temperatures steady, with a slight increase in maximums at higher elevations. Light winds with coastal breezes, and westerly flow across mid-altitudes and higher ground. Moderate westerlies on the highest peaks.
