According to the forecast of the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET), there is going to be a cloudy start to the bank holiday weekend, although Lanzarote and Fuerteventura will have more sun than Tenerife and Gran Gran Canaria.

Temperatures are expected to rise slightly, particularly inland, with a light to moderate northeast wind across the archipelago, which will be locally strong in the high central peaks of Tenerife.

At sea there will be a force 4 or 5 wind which will reach force 6 in the west and southeast of the islands later this afternoon. Expect a strong tidal swell and current in the north due to the wind, and waves between 1 and 3 metres on southwest coasts.
