AEMET forecasts more rain in the Canary Islands this Sunday

The State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) is forecasting increased rainfall in the Canary Islands today, Sunday, December 3rd. According to the forecast, there will be partly cloudy skies with mostly clear conditions in the northeast, and significant cloud development in the west and east during the afternoon. Occasional light rain is not ruled out on the eastern slope, especially during the first half of the day.

In the western islands, minimum temperatures will drop slightly, while maximum temperatures will remain largely unchanged registering between 23 degrees Celsius as the maximum in Tenerife and La Gomera, and 16 degrees Celsius as the minimum in El Hierro.

The wind will blow lightly from the east, and in the central summits, a generally light westward component wind is anticipated.

In the eastern islands, the forecast suggests that in Gran Canaria there will be intermittent clouds gradually clearing in the north by midday. Meanwhile, in the southwest, significant cloud development is expected during the afternoon, and Lanzarote and Fuerteventura will be generally cloudy.

Temperatures will be the same as in Tenerife with a high of 23 degrees, but minimums will be higher with lows of 19 degrees. Regarding the wind, it will blow lightly from the east, with occasional moderate intervals in the northwest and southeast.
