AEMET forecasts more rain, colder temperatures, and strong winds in the Canaries
The State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) has maintained yellow weather warnings today on all of the islands for coastal phenomena and strong gusts of wind on the east and northwest slopes and summits of La Gomera, Gran Canaria, and Lanzarote.
They are forecasting more rain this morning in the northern and mountainous areas of Tenerife and La Palma, which will be in the form of occasional showers. As for the waves, it is recommended to avoid swimming in the open sea and walking near the coast.

Maximum temperatures will decrease in Tenerife, and thermometers will range between a maximum of 25 degrees in Tenerife and La Gomera and a minimum of 19 degrees in La Palma and El Hierro.
The wind will blow from the northeast from moderate to strong, more intense on the northwest and southeast slopes of the islands. On the peaks of La Palma, as well as in the El Paso area, very strong gusts are expected during the second half of the day.

The weather forecast for today, indicates that in Gran Canaria will be cloudy in the north with the probability of light rain during the first half of the day, mainly in the midlands; and in the rest of the areas there will be cloudy intervals, with slightly cloudy skies predominating in the southwest in the afternoon.
As for Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, there will be cloudy intervals that will tend to be slightly cloudy at the end of the afternoon.
Temperatures will be with few changes or with slight decreases on the southwest slope. In Las Palmas de Gran Canaria they will be between 24°C maximum and 20°C minimum.
As for the wind, it will be moderate to strong from the northeast, it will be more intense on the northwest and southeast slopes and midlands exposed to the trade wind, as well as on summits, where very strong gusts are expected during the second half of the day, without ruling them out for the rest.
